Kicker Bass Station Powered Subwoofer

You also shouldn't use velcro straps because you're probably losing > 50% of what the sub can provide you in terms of quality bass sound/feeling in your car. It's a HUGE difference when it is bolted to the car frame versus velcro or just sitting in a box in your car.

thanks for the suggestions again. i already have the sub bolted with the supplied straps and bolts by kicker. yes the bass felt more solid!

i might pickup a used cargo mat soon and thinking, should i just drill through the rubber mat, or cut a square or circle where the straps are bolted?

thanks sir. i went ahead and cut through the mat to secure the sub. i made a slit instead of a hole or square. then i retightened again earlier.

anyone looking for another budget powered sub. mtx 10" for $89 and 12" for $98 at parts-express.com. over $98 gets you free shipping or $5 4 day shipping. i already ordered one for my other ride. let me know if i should post this on deals/coupons thread.

i already have the mtx sub and it is an improvement, but is installed on my scion xb (interior with little insulation and fewer speakers vs the fx) so i cant compare. the mtx sub is still available last time i checked if anyone is still looking for a cheap powered unit. anyone local welcome to check out or hook up to your fx to try out.

the best buy rep kept the stock sub connected as far as i remember but all i hear of course is the powered sub.
