Hi Guys (and girls?)
I wanted to replace my key ignition lock and want to let you know how i did it.
Now i had already a steering column from a FX35 i had demounted myself so that was easy acces for me.
As you can see in the pictures the lock is mounted with a steering column shear bolt (copper color band) and the only way to remove that is by cutting it on the sides and it comes loose.See last picture.
I was wondering if it is also possible to pull out just the lock from the housing?
Some car models you can push in a knob and you can pull it out, but on the FX i did not see any possibility.
