noticed today that my car has these fitted...panel type.
They look quite dirty, should I clean and re-oil or just get rid and replace with standard?
Car is on 46k miles.

You can clean them and re-oil them. You woun't get any gains with them. Just don't over oil them because that can play havoc with your MAF sensors. I prefer to stay with OEM filters.

That's what I was thinking. There have been many stories of oil residue on MAFs. I suppose it seems a shame to discard an 'upgrade' part but new standard filters might be the way forward.

Clean it, oil it, and use it.
You have them already and you'll be saving the earth from extra garbage along the way.

I just clean the air filters at every oil change. I was surprise at how much dirt buildup in the air filters.
