K&N filters debunked, OEM filters are better?

Question.

Wouldn't the K&N show more HP, even without a tune?
Since it filters less than dry filters.. allowing more air?

in a modern engine, the surface area of oem paper filter has been designed to provide optimum airflow at wot even when moderately dirty. by adding a less restrictive filter or having no filter at all does nothing to improve performance. most n/a bolt-on mods on the market don't increase significant airflow requirement to make oem filter a bottleneck.

went with the "dry" airaid synthmax, since the paper one didn't fit.

Thanks for the clip, despite the fact that it is not fully controlled test results still show big time the myth over these after market air filters.
Obsedian.
