JWT Pop Charger Install

I finally had some energy to put the Jim Wolf Technology pop charger with Stillen Z tube in that I picked up from Soon. Hopefully the bracket placement and heat shield look correct. I pulled the whole stock air box out and left the horizontal intake tube to connect to the shield.

Now I have a couple questions:

1) I have a 350z tube that I previously had in and the Stillen tube. Should I leave the setup as is in the picture or put the 350z tube back in, using the accordion to connect to the pop charger? I picked up the extension you see from Phantom.

2) Is there any type of bracket or bolt that is supposed to be holding up the long horizontal intake tube above the radiator? The only things currently holding it up are the two plastic snap-ins. I don't feel too comfortable considering it seems loose.

3) The rubber trim on the heat shield to the horizontal intake was peeling off before I installed it. It has peeled off even more now. What should I use to re-attach it to the shield?

Thanks in advance! I have another grille to play with in the near future and some FX-R lens to have installed (thanks Soon!).

I would use whichever tube lines up better. Personally, I've found that the Stillen ones seem to fit better than the 350Z OEM ones. The air intake above the radiator just attaches with those two clips and into the shield like you have it. I would say use super glue to reattach, since it's rubber to plastic it looks like.

Thanks for the input, I will super glue the rubber trim. Is it better to go to dealer for more of those plastic clips or is there a good place to get them online? I have no clue what they are called. I have found quite a few missing, and broken ones in the car.
 
Alex, I've been under the weather and just noticed this post. Yes, super glue works nicely for the seals and did you have all 2 metal mount supports attached?
I would think u should keep all the factory couplers, your mas sensor with tube and the stillen Ztube.

Have you done a WOT and hear that difference? might not hurt to do a pedal dance in resetting the ECU for better air readings.

Hey Soon, yeah I used the curved bracket for the Pop Charger, and the other bracket to connect the heat shield. I am going to switch to all factory couplers. I didn't notice too much and then I did the pedal dance over the weekend. Love it now, I don't think the higher MPG's are going to be around long. The sound and launch is way too tempting. Hope you are feeling better!

What in the world is WOT? Lol. I'm def still a newbie.
 
Oh then yes. WOT was lovely, blasted past another FX actually when I did it on the turnpike. Whoops. Let me know if you need anything, I was stuck in traffic at 5:30am near your area this morning. Who has traffic at 5am in the morning? Only NYC.
 
Maybe your FX will come out of hibernation when the 150,000 pot holes are actually filled. I wish that was an exaggerated number.
