Sorry guys been busy with work lately, but I sent an email to Ben@jimwolftechnology.com linking him to this post so hopefully he can provide me with some updates regarding the popchargers. I'll let you guys/gals know when I hear from him. Keep adding yourself to the list if you are interested, don't be shy.

my experience with JWT popchargers actually lost power with my 370z

sounds nice though

if it picks up a little or even out with the stock intake I'm in

Finally!
Ben has agreed to test fit a prototype on my vehicle next wednesday. Seems like they just need to design new brackets to fit our FX properly. I'll keep you guys updated with some pics and videos after it's installed.

Alright guys, sorry I don't have any videos or pics yet but I did meet Jim and he personally installed the JWT popcharger in my car. He should have pictures on his website soon and a production ready intake in approximately 4 weeks.

Pros about the new intakes.
- The cone filters are huge, should be able to go longer before cleaning them.
- The heat shields, Jim gave me a quick lesson regarding forced convection and how the heat shields direct the heat from the radiator away from our intakes while its moving. *I believe he might mod this shield a little more after he sits down with his production team so it can only get better.
- Our 2nd gens come with an air inlet duct that splits the incoming air from the front into two paths towards our intakes. The JWT utilizes this duct by having the heat shields come up right under where the air comes out, so cold air is pushed onto the cone filters.
- Butt dyno tells me the upper end has gotten more power. I got the chance to open it up a couple times coming back from El Cajon and I can already tell its going to be addicting.
- The sound it makes when it passes 3k rpm. I wish I had a nice camcorder because I can't capture this sound on my BB storm, the invidia exhaust drowns everything out, including my thoughts. The best way to describe it is if you were to imitate the exhaust sound with your mouth...that would be stock. Now make the same exhaust sound but add a healthy dose of anger with it...that's the JWT pop-charger. Finally, look around and see how many people are staring at you at work. Yes I'll try to find a camcorder if i can...anyone local in OC want to lend a hand?

Cons so far
- I do notice some loss of performance on the low end.
- I have a feeling my gas mileage is going to suffer with my heavy foot.

As for pricing, Jim doesn't know until he talks with his product/marketing team.
The guy is a true professional, I felt like I was having a college physics instructor modding my car. All I know is after talking to him I'm glad I have the HR and not the 3.7 motor. He did mention he wouldn't mind having another 2nd gen FX ( a 2 wheel drive one ) stop by so he can test fit the brackets some more, so if anyone is willing to make the drive to El Cajon, give Jim/Ben a call.

I'm a bit worry about the loss in low end power. I've experience a bit of loss in the low end with the invidia install already. And with the horrible throttle response in 3-4 gear of the 2nd gen I'm worry with it will be even more noticeable with the invidia catback + jwt intake.

Does all intake have the inherent fault of loss in low end power? Is there any other mods that can compensate for the the lack of low end after modification that would increase power in the upper range?
