Just got a 2006 FX35 and I love it...

I just bought a 2006 FX35 for my Wife. It replaces a 2005 Land Rover Freelander and I have to say that the FX makes the Land Rover feel like it's a 1950s garbage truck. The FX is in pearl white (I love that paint) with the wheat interior. It's got most options (my Daughter loves the DVD player) except for the Sport (20" wheels, etc.). The FX seems to have more electronics than Best Buy carries. I'm really enjoying the FX because for a SUV, it's pretty sporty and I love the exhaust growl. It's funny to see my Wife drive off and hearing a low/loud exhaust note. I've always seen the FX on the road, but in searching for a good used one and now bringing it home, it just gets better looking every day and I appreciate various lines and angles and the build quality.

Question: Where can I get an updated navigation map without paying the $190 plus $30 shipping? The one free update only applies to 2003-2005 FX and not for the 2006. I looked on eBay and there's nothing right now. Anyone here have a set to sell? Thanks.

Congrats & welcome to :iS: I don't think you can get the nav update cd unless you get a copy (illegal) from someone who already have one. If you don't have any major issues with the nav, I say keep it like that for now.. 06 are more updated than 05< naturally and the only thing the update does is to update the streets and POIs.
 
Welcome to the board and congrats on the FX!
For an updated version of the nav dvd I'm afraid you will have to buy one retail unless one happens to show up on ebay. GL.

Welcome to the Scene .. I have a 7.2 Nav/CD that was replace by a 7.3, PM me if your interested.

If you are still interested, I have a used copy of the 6.6 nav update. Fully functional, no problems. Should work just fine, I purchased it 2 months ago.

The 6.6 is for the 1st generation FX.
From 06+ they went to the 7.X dvds.
