Just curious

What could happen if you didn't torque your wheels back on your car correctly?

I'm thinking aligment issue, that's about it?

the mechanic for my dads dodge didn't torque the lugs properly, the steering wheel went crazy and was shaky, we went and dropped off to find the lugs were almost off :err: lol

If you overtighten them --Stripped threads!
Not tight enough wheel wobble or wheel comes off!

Oh wow^

Thing is when I put wheels back on I tighten them with a 1/2 in ratchet...
Then torque mine down to 90 ftlbs.
I prefer not to use an airwrench (Stripping it)
But I wanted to know if you torqued it to say, 50 what would happen?

If your using a torque wrench why do you want to torque to 50ft
lbs?
