Jumbo's purchased pulleys

Looks like Z1 agrees with Summit racing -

I followed the Z1 link and even that site said that the manufacturer is redesigning the damper pulley and more information will be posted as it becomes available. I guess if I really want a damper crank pulley now, I'll have to check into some other brands. If it really is being redesigned, then maybe it would be better to wait. I wrote Z1 to ask about it and if they carry any alternatives like the ATI.

I'm also going to try to check with Fluidampr customer service and see what I can find out.

Placed the order today for the same Fluidampr with Z1. No mention if the item is in stock, but the product page said, "usually ships in 1-4 days". So I should be hearing about a back-order before the end of the week, if there is one.

Pulleys installed

Finally finished with my pulley mods. I did this thinking I would not feel any benefit immediately, but would be protecting my crankshaft seals once I go FI. Replaced the belts too with the Gates MicroV.

Got a pleasant surprise though - the effect of the Fluidampr crank pulley along with the two UR light accessory pulleys made the engine feel more smooth. Even cruising seems quieter - less vibration in the car as a whole. Acceleration curve feels more smooth too. It adds a feel of higher quality to the ride - which is really nice for our sport tuned luxury SUV. It was a little more than I wanted to spend for the benefit - but like I said, I won't get that full benefit until I go FI in the future. I'll post photos shortly...

I just did mine this weekend aswell and like jumbo said there is a different feel to the acceleration and smoother is prob the best word to describe it.

I hadn't heard one way or another what the feel impact would be like. This is just from driving it around for the last three days. Might have something to do that my car has 100,000 miles on it - maybe some vibration had developed and the damper took care of it? Either way, the feel is a bit different and in a good way.

Anybody heard of a rougher ride when you use a damper crank pulley?
