After owning a 350Z and never pulling the trigger on the S-Tune Nismo exhaust, I will finally be joining the club tomorrow so that I can get this bolted onto my new FX. Cant wait to finally drive a car with the best sounding exhaust system on the market.

Before I get this installed, let me get a few things straight...

1. G35 extension is on order, so that is all set.
2. Do I need any hangers, gaskets, or mounting hardware? If so, can I get it at a Nissan Dealer?
3. I will have the tips extended past the bumper, but how much (what length) is sufficient?
4. Please confirm: the Nismo Y-pipe is no good to me (AWD) and I will be using the stock Y-pipe connected to the Nismo Mid-pipe and Nismo exhaust. Is there any difference in piping diameter between the stock Y-pipe and Nismo Mid-pipe?

Thanks for any help guys! Totally appreciate it. Cant wait!

good

the gaskets needs to be 3", no new hangers needed, optional are new rubber/poly urethane

about 6 inchs, the tips just need to barely extend past bumper...any longer you WILL burn your shins

4. Please confirm: the Nismo Y-pipe is no good to me (AWD) and I will be using the stock Y-pipe connected to the Nismo Mid-pipe and Nismo exhaust. Is there any difference in piping diameter between the stock Y-pipe and Nismo Mid-pipe?
stock size from Y-pipe is 2.5 inches, nismo mid-pipe is 3" .... you should be good since its not the other way around.

Thanks Merchant!

So I just picked it up. It is in very good shape, cant wait to have it installed.

Looks like I will need hardware. Is this something I can purchase anywhere? Would a custom exhaust shop have the gaskets? Or is this something I need to buy from a Nissan dealer or online store?

Oh yeah, and now I have a Y-pipe that is useless to me....

Y-pipe can be sold here or on other sites ( my350z.com , g35driver.com etc).
You should get about ~$150 for it or more.

as for the gaskets, I think the mufler shop should have them. just make sure the opening inside is large enough or else it may restrict the flow.

hmmm . . Like if you go to the track, eg. Nascar, ya take your #1 car out to race, trailer car gets run if you wreck in practice . . . it was a dumb joke. Just messing with ya as usual

Tony Stewart won with his trailer car. He started from the back, too.

But was it half a Home Depot or Old Spice car, or did it have a full exhaust?

i was actually at pocono raceway for TOny Stewart's win haha......

it had half an exhaust because they are i think just straight pipes that bend out the side before the rear wheel

and I can;t tell if your saying I have like half the nismo or something?
I have the full catback....
