I'm a card carrying member of the paid-for-vehicles-only club. I picked up a babied 2003 FX35 @ 157k for about 4k USD. Full book of service records and meticulous interior maintenance, it even still has the first aid kit! Asking price was 5k but it was a family friend so he was generous with his offer. I previously drove a 1991 mitsubishi mighty max for about 4 years so to say this beast is an upgrade is quite an understatement.
I've already jumped headfirst into the FX hole; I replaced my front struts with some tools and beer, learned of the infamous fender bolt rattle, seafoamed the crankcase for about a day before a fresh oil change, K&N drop in, the full shadetree pepboys treatment so to speak. Next on the list is getting her some fresh ATF. Looking forward to a number of years of happy ownership. Thanks for having me!
