Good looking rides and past rides. I have a set of gen1 fx 20 wheels for sale, I'll have to start posting in the near future. Due to 15% tire tread life, I'm pricing them $750. One wheel has a scratch on a spoke but good diy project.

Yeah, your wheels look great! Good info on the glossy finish and I tend to agree. The tire size you went with really fills the wheel gap without going lower. Did you notice any low end performance degradation since the larger tires essentially change the final gear ratio? Probably not since they're not too far off.

Thanks. Honestly, the only difference I have noticed is that the ride is more smooth in general, and more quiet on the freeway. But I think that is just the tire quality.

The new roof rack showed up. Doesn't look quite as nice as an OEM rack, but it'll work just fine. She's ready for the next family road trip...whenever that is.

Cool FX looks good with a box up there. I want one as well but I am not ready to pay 500-600$ for one. Hell I don't wanna pay 300$ for one lol

Yeah, it's hard to spend that kind of money on this stuff, but it definitely helps on roadtrips. Keep an eye out on craigslist for good deals. Like the Whispbar setup that wouldn't work on my FX. I'm currently selling it for less that half what I paid for it. And I only mounted it to the car twice.

yea I am keeping an eye out on it. I am talking to a person about one now, but I don't know if it's even going to fit on my FX, it's 7 feet long and 3feet wide. It's probably as heavy as my OEM bars can handle haha Then comes the part of Where the hell am I going to store this monstrosity haha

Sounds like a RocketBox I used to own. THey are surprisingly light for how big they are. I store mine mounted to the ceiling in the garage so it's out of the way when not in use.

On the wheel front, rather than going with GTR wheels, I think I have my mind set on the FK Ethos (fka Falken Wheels) RT-57. They come in 20x10 et40 and I would go with a 295/45-20 tire. This setup will push the edge of the wheel/tire combo out by an inch and will have some nice meaty tires. More than that is a little too much for me...especially if I do not lower it. After I came across these wheels on Discount Tire Direct, I went searching for them on FX's. Closest thing I could find was this thread by @jeetaa where he had similar wheels (Falken rt-7m), but with 7 spokes/sections rather than 5. I really like them on his white FX35.

On another note, the 20x10 wheels are on a 3 month backorder. Another option would be the 20x8.5 et15. Pushes the wheel/tire out to the same point, but not as wide.

Kind of having an internal struggle on whether or not to pull the trigger on one of these sets of GTR wheels. My concern is the amount of poke I'll have on the rear wheels with the stock suspension. I know if I lower it, the car will natural fix some of that with camber, but I'm not sure I want to lower it. The best pics I can find of GTR wheels on a stock FX are below (@phluphlu). Let me know if you have others.

What size of tires are those? I am getting a set of GTRs this weekend
