JBAKER1121'S FX50 EXHAUST thread

There is NOTHING like that growl of a FX 45/50!:good:
My favorites in no particular order...
Stock 45
AERObfa's Stillen exhaust (It's what made me choose a 45 over a 35.)
And Mr. Baker, I'll have to add your 50 to my list..To me, it sounds close to the Stillen.

Thanks! I guess it sounds similar to the stillen.

This exhaust set up is sooooo sickkkk!!! Great work man! I did the same thing with a pair of 350z mufflers on mine! I wanna custom fit a pair of g37 unresonated test pipes because its still super quiet! Just alil tone. Do you think ill need a mandatory tune afterwards due to the 02 sensors being so far away or if it would affect the air/fuel mixture if i just leave it as is with no tune.

Glad there are other 50 modders out there ;) give your exhaust time to break in, if it is new then you have a few miles to go til it is broken in. Mine is deeper than even the last video I posted because I drove it home 5 hours from school....

you should be fine if you space them out well enough. have a J pipe with pinholes or bughole spacers. I had mine tuned before the test pipes and havent had an issue with adding them on. Same on my last FX, no problem if they are spaced correctly.

p.s. I'd sell my test pipes :)

You know ive been driving it with no tune at all and it seems more responsive with the test pipes & mufflers in. I did the exact same set up you've got going on. I hear you on the break in, It is getting alil more throatier tho.

All the tune will really do is add some HP up top, which is a negligible amount in a car this size with those few mods, but I wanted to have it breathing correctly after messing around with it.

I've been looking for GTM RTP on G/Z forums and cant find it anywhere. The alternatives available I've found are Megan Racing and AAM Competition. Of course the flanges have to be converted. any idea about either? or any other suggestions?

Any more info on the RTP fitting the FX50? I have Z1 HFCs and want to throw em on a 50.

Hey man - literally just cutting and re-angling to fit better. Need to change the header-side flange. I can take some more pics if you want but they have gotten blasted with salt and dirt over the years.

You can get any brand really - will have to cut them up to fit anyway
