i was looking at OEM 20's powdercoated black, then I fell in love with EXE Konkave, then there's your textured wheels....:k::k::k::k::k:

every time I do a research, my head starts spinning because the possibilities are endless. and my guts are laughing at me.

Are you gonna black out these items:

satellite antenna
door handles
emblems
the rest of the chrome accents

That would set your FX apart.

Yeah, I want those parts gloss black though, to give contrast with the matte black parts and plastic mouldings. Emblems I'll either debadge or paint, but door handles, chrome trim & grill, I don't want to paint because it's hard to go back if I didnt like them anymore. I'll probably end up wrapping those with gloss black vinyl sometime soon. I just need to find time to do them.

You'd probably be looking around $500. I got like 6 quotes and they were all in that area using the specific material I wanted. So I was like f*** it, and bought the whole roll and did it myself. Now I'm doing wraps for some of my customers (i've done a few z's and one gtr.). Fx is kind of a PIA because of the two antennaes, but once you get around that it's pretty easy.

Actually that's what I wanted initially. I wanted spare oem 20s to be powdercoated, but the price wasn't right for me. In the end, I'm happy with what I decided.

I thought about it, but then there's no cut off point towards the back because it just continues on to the quarter panel/fender. And its not good to trim the vinyl in the middle of a panel because you can cut the clearcoat. I'll probably end up doing that thin strip underneat the rail though.
