Is your fx a weekend vehicle or for every day use!?

Daily driving for my FX50. Yes, its expensive to run, and I fill up once a week. But its a blast to drive, even in traffic. I agree with many of the other posters.. why buy such a nice car and not use it? I factored in the cost for fuel and maintanence when I bought the car, so no sticker shock for me. I recently got a G37 for a loaner car, and I cant tell you how much I missed my 50. One of the main reasons I bought an Infiniti was because of the reliability, and to know that it will get me to and from work everyday with minimal fuss. So far, so good..

i bought it specifically for a daily driver, although i've been surprised by how bad it has been on gas...

we sold on '07 bmw 335i and replaced with the '06 fx35 for a lot less $$ and hopefully more reliability, although the cold weather has proven to be an enemy of the '06 fx.

i like it but don't love it like i loved the bmw. honestly it can't hold a candle to that car in terms of a complete package, but when it breaks, at least it won't cost my first born to fix it!

I'm from Boston too and I know we've had such a horrible winter over the last two months! Hopefully it's behind us now (knock on wood). How long ago did you get your FX? I got mine this past January and the snow storms we had in January were horrible to drive in, in the FX35. The stock Good Year RSAs suck, I just switched over to Hancook Ventus tires as recommended by people here on the forums and let me tell you how much of a night and day difference these tires are compared to the GYs. If you're still on the stockers, switch them out and you'll love your FX a whole lot more!

yeah, the winter has been crazy here.

i bought it in november & quickly put blizzaks on it for the winter, it's a rwd not awd. it isn't like i don't "like" the car, it's just a noticeable downgrade from the bmw. the 335i is obviously a completely different beast in terms of power and handling (i definitely miss that speed). the overall fit and finish are not even remotely close though. the infiniti is also a sqeakbox compared to the bmw. unfortunately i'm always very in tune with every noise a vehicle makes & the bmw was so impressive in that respect, the fx isn't!

no biggie though, i've bought and sold a ton of vehicles over the years, i have vehicle a.d.d. and proudly admit it! i continue to get more picky with vehicles but also seek out particular parameters for the right "deal" so i never really pay much to drive a car. the bmw cost me $1,000 for 13 months and almost 20k miles. i actually hoped to make a profit on it, but as the new design came out and winter came in, my timing was off & the car lost value. i'll enjoy the fx for a while and move on to something else when the time is right...

blah, blah, blah...that went on too long!
