Is your fx a weekend vehicle or for every day use!?

Wife drives the FX right now, and i drive her altima. FX is so much more fun to drive. I don't really care about miles now. Back in the day, when i got my first car, that's all i worried about, but now I buy a car to drive it, not save it. My last car, subaru LGT, had almost 110k put on it in 5 years at the time of trade in.

FX is and will always be my DD, thus won't be dropping TT or anything crazy in it. I'm thinking of buying a project car/beater though.

r32 gtr? miata? 240z? ae86?

i want something that is cheap, rwd and have potential

than again maybe i will use the money for the beater to get a full set of bbk for the fx or a bumping custom sound system :p

in any case fx is a DD for me.

But upside is I don't miss paying for the gas, and the car is in the same condition I parked it in 6 months ago! hahahahah :frown:

true, true... especially when gas is about $1.15/liter up here:tdown:. And there's approximately 4 liters to a gallon:embarrassed:. And that's 87 octane... I really don't know how the lower income people here make a living.

They leave the FX at home because it's a gas guzzler and take it out only on special occassions:rolleyes:

DD for mine, I drove about 420 miles in a week, fill the gas 3 times a week. but the gas price in South Carolina is one of the cheapest in the nation. $2.87 for premium (91 octane)

I'm driving my FX daily. It's a shame to let it sit there in the front of the house and rust...:tongue (2):

Why would anyone not use it for a daily driver? It's a nice car, but by no means a collector. It's not luxury. It's not a thrill wagon. It is a perfectly balanced daily driver with just the right amount of sport and utility and is decent on fuel.

Look at the used values, not much delta between a 40k mile and a 100k mile unit.

Enjoy the car, you earned it!

Actually, I WILL call it A THRILL WAGON. For me it is. it's one hell of a soccer mom car in the eyes of those who call it a soccer mom car. they be dammed. i love it...:wink (2):

WTF kind of statement is that :stupid:

Look, im not bashing the car. It is one of my favorite cars that I have owned.

It's luxury to the point where it is very very comfortable to ride in. However, when you compare it on terms of luxury with cars that are built for that specific purpose- it is very archaic.

I'm simply saying it is a car that is meant to be driven, not one that is a special occasion to drive.

FX is a weekend car for me, during the work week my wife and I commute in together since our offices are only 6 miles apart. We have a 07 G35x. Sitting in rolling traffic on the highway during the rush hour commute both ways, the G does a bit better on gas than the FX.
