Is FX09 worth to get?

are you comparing a used 09 with a brand new 08?
there will be defender of both the 2nd gen and the first gen here my advice is to drive it yourself.
some say the 1st gen have better handling however I test out both when shopping for mine and I think the 09 is better, more refine.
exterior wise 1st gen does have a classic design that have withstand the test of time, 09 on the other hand is up to each person's interpretation. however buying a brand new car that has already have a new facelift is something i cannot do.
interior, 09 wins hands down.
option wise I do believe if you are going full option the 09 have a bit more toys compare to the 08, correct me though if i'm wrong.
than comes one crucial point, are you the modding type? if so the aftermarket support is non existent for the 2nd gen yet that might also be a thing to keep in mind.
which ever fx you go with, i'm sure you will be satisfield good luck on your search

My options are: 1st used 2008 black with sports package and maximum options or 2009 (they don't have sport's pakcage) but with maximum options for that age. Both are used. So which one you think will handle better and what would you choose? New one definetely 09 and up looks amazing inside.but i like old version exterior a little more,but new one will get used to as well over time
:tonguey:I would take the 2nd gen but i'm very bias lol. i didn't quite like the new look in the beginning but i grew to it, I love it now and wouldn't have i any other way.
on the other hand i wish 2nd gen have more accessible mods i can tinker around with withou dropping big bangs for custom

If it were me, I would probably get the 09. The look has definitely grown on me since it came out. some angles still look odd though. From what I've heard, the power of the 09 FX35 is amazing, so you may not need to play with aftermarket parts for a while.
You say the 09 has all the options, so I am assuming it has the 20" wheels vs the base 18". They look ok, but the 2nd gen is begging for the FX50 21" wheels or aftermarket 22".
I think the 09 is worth it though. I too would have a hard time buying a new car that has been redesigned already, but thats just me (and threezero). lol

Completely agree with GEE35FX - I have owned both, 1st gen and now 2nd gen and quite frankly, the performance is great and the tech gadgets are fantastic. Agree on the exhaust note, I do miss the 1st gen but since picking up the 2nd gen, I've received alot of compliments. Just to sway you, here is my ride.....

i own a 09 fx as well and i have the tech and it's awesome. i think you should get this one. It's my first car and i am really impressed with infinti. And i agree that the exhaust could be louder.
Damn, they need to come with painted trim straight from the factory. Looks so much nicer.

when you use tiptronic and manually downshift on the 1st gen models i believe it has auto rev matching
anyways, OP, if ur still here, id get the 09+. I own a 08 but that was before the 09's came out. You might regret buying an older model with the new model already released 4-5 years from now

09 for sure imo. First the interior and features are much improved (especially the 7at as others have mentioned). As for the exterior I love the look of mine and personally find the look of the older gen looking somewhat dated (but still looking good!). Of course the 09's front is a bit... weird looking... but it will grow on ya

go for the 2009, you won't regret it. MAJOR interior upgrade, and if the exhaust is too quiet, just cut out the resonator.

the look will definately grow on you, fx is the first production car that incorporated its design from the concept car essence and infiniti is now also applying it to the m. you know infiniti is preparing to facelift all there lineups to be like the essence but than i'm sure you will grow to love the styling.
beside i hoenstly don't think the front end is that bad when acrua is doing the stupid grill thing on every single on of their cars.
