Iphone mirroring on my navigation display

I figured out a way to mirror my phone on to the stock navigation display. The product I used is NAVIKS VIDEO INTERFACE. If you guys do decide to do the same thing, just know that the quality of your display is not going to be 1080p so it won't look as nice as it does on your phone/tablet. Skagen....awesome job man!! That is effin cool....I want to do this also. So if u have android...I need to get chromecast for it to be wireless? Can you please clarify what I need?? Again...great job man!!
 
WLV.... NAVIKS now has NAVIKS WiFi Smartphone Mirror Interface. I wish they had this when I first purchased from them a year ago. This should work for Android and also Iphone. NAVIKS has great customer service and should be able to help you with what you need. Hope this helps.

Thx...Yeah I jst found this one on their ebay store...it is a bit more expensive than the one you have but is wireless. Question..what exactly does this plug into
on the back of the radio? I already have the USA-spec NIS installed, so not sure if I can use both or will have to disconnect the usa spec?

If you purchase a PAC VCI-NIS2 both that and the USA spec ipod will work. Soonster has one of these units installed on his FX.

On that same note I have a brand New VCI-NIS2 which I might be persuaded to part with...lol

EDIT: just to be a little more clear, the Pac unit will allow you to plug in anything with a RCA video connection to the FX's screen, and you change to display that item with the flick of a switch.

Meme...so I hook my usa spec to this and then this goes to the back of the radio? How much will persuade you to part with it and why have you not
installed it in Brianna yet?? lol

The two units run side by side. Basically there is like 3 different harness' in the back of the OEM head unit, the USA Spec ties into one of them, and this PAC video unit ties into a completely different one. I think the unit uses the exact same principle as the box that Skagen has posted, because the box itself looks almost identical, here is a listing:

The PAC unit is substantially more expensive than the Naviks unit. I have no idea why.

The only reason I have yet to install it is because I really don't know when or if I would use it. My original idea was to tie this and use my SNES emulator to play NES and SNES games on the OEM nav screen.

I won't bullshit you, at this point with how cheap that Naviks unit is, and for what I paid for this PAC unit, you might as well just buy that brand new Naviks unit...lol. It looks like the exact same thing at like half the cost...
