What's up scene I just ran into this problem:shifty: I started noticing the tone of my exhaust change dramatically like if I had a ricer exhaust. Is there any issue that a muffler shop would face to repair this?
Any Houston member recommend any good
exhaust repair shop?

That happened to me as well they cut out the piece and welded in a new one. Next all of your flange gaskets are going to blow out.

What a bummer but I guess it's an issue that everybody faces eventually with this exhaust. Wow my gaskets too! damn ! Where did you buy your replacement flange gaskets ?

Omg, now I'm scared!!! I got the invidia gemini exhaust on my 09 FX I bought it used from another 09 fx he had it on 3 months, I did notice some yellow on the pipes but I didn't think nothing of it, the muffler shop did use some of his own gaskets, well hopefully I don't have any issues, if I do I'll just put back my factory one :cautious:

I had the same issue on my first year of ownership on my Invidia. I took it to an exhaust shop and they welded it using stainless steel and added extra bracket support to take the weight of the exhaust pipes. No issues since then.

That shop I took my car is in Brooklyn. Another member Brooklynjohn referred it to me so at least there's a good place you can go close by your area.

I just kept going to the local muffler shop and they matched up the gaskets. I got tired of doing that so I had them cut out all the flanges and had them straight piped and welded.

So how do I notice when the pipes are going bad? I'm clueless on this issue, please help me, lol

I don't think it's that common, mine has been on there for a long time and taken a lot of hits without issue. You can always put the car on jackstands or a ramp and look at the hanger welds. If they look cracked, take care of it. The pipe isn't going bad, it's just the stress of the hanger and welding. Easily fixable, your car isn't going to explode.

If you're really worried about it, have them weld another hanger on to distribute the weight. I had an extra hanger welded onto mine as mine was customized and they needed to re-align it to clear my GT Spec brace. Maybe that's kept mine from cracking.
