Intermittant Subwoofer?

Location
San Diego
i noticed sometimes my sub will kick in like halfway through a song after turning on the radio. Its like it wasnt working, then all the sudden decides to work. the time can differ from less than a minute, to 5 minutes later. maybe its just me, but has anyone else experienced this and what would cause it?

i had that problem with my 350z, never figured out exactly what it was. the amplifier embedded in the speakers were bad is what I heard from another forum member. The fx has not given any such problem. Bose audios weren't really great on our cars to begin with. My cd changer starts skipping songs when I try to play songs during cold weather. Any idea why?

That could be caused by condensation forming on your cd rather than an issue with the player itself. Next time it happens eject the cd and check it out. If it's fogged up, give it a minute and try it again. I've had this issue with several vehicles, only two of which had Bose systems.

i heard from the tech at best buy that when the cd player is cold, the silicone vibration isolators are more rigid. that causes the cd to skip. not sure if its true though

Does anyone know where to get one of those embedded sub amps and how much they cost? That's all I can figure out why its intermitant. Yesterday I hit the sub box, and it started working. All the wiring looks good
