Interior Squeaking

Shortly after buying my '03 FX35 last month the driver seat started squeaking like crazy. One of the left side rear mounting bolts was slightly loose. I tightened it and also applied some white lithium grease to the metal hinge in the same area. I don't know which fixed it but *knock on wood* it has been quiet since.

Nice, I'll try that out.

The center console squeak is a common problem on the 2009+ FX's. And to think by 2011 they would of fixed this issue. Squeaks and rattles are mostly a hit and miss kind of thing. Luckily though it's an extremely easy fix:tup:

I'm at 33K miles right now and only had the center console squeak and my rear seats squeaking when reclined all the way back. Other than that the interior is pretty quiet. One way I try to look at it though is these horrible NY roads that tear people's cars up and make things loose.:skull:

Ok just fixed my drivers side seat squeaking issue!!!. Originally I thought it was caused by the metal on metal contact of my seat rails to the car floor. Turns out it was the contact points where the seat meats the rails.

When looking at the rails from the front, there's a small circular rivet that sits in the rail 'valley' near the front. All I did was to add WD40 to this area and to the two small raised openings nearby. The noise is gone!

I've found that its never worth my time and trouble to have the dealer look at these types of (nuisance) issues.
