Word to the wise...

When your dealership says they'll have a guy that comes every Tuesday & Thursday to clean and replair interiors of vehicles in for service, or will be putting on lot to sell (leather, plastic, wood, vinyl & cloth/mesh, etc.) - and can repair the visor mesh-cloth damage caused by their installer; BEWARE!

Upon purchasing my CPO QX70 in April this year, I asked that the windshield be repaired or replaced due to decent-size chips in glass directly in driver's/passenger's line-of-sight (using the "highly-touted" 180+ Point Inspection Report to officially claim "Certified Pre-Owned" as ammunition); the installer damaged to both the left & right side dash speaker-grille covers, a cut in the mesh-cloth of passenger sun-visor, plus left behind dirt/grease/adhesive, etc on the roof/pillar lining.

So, took my baby in this week for said repair; big mistake! Take a look at before/after photos of the visor. Needless to say, dealership ordering new visor at their expense!!

Attaching three photos; cut-damage to visor mesh (dime-size); first attempt at repair by "cleaning" the mesh(!); then final repair (!!!)

Lession learned; request part replaced the first-time upon dealer-caused damage!

This is a problem in all aspects of life in the once good old usa. Before currency debauchery we had quality. It will only get worse. Don't mean to get too deep but inflation is a destroyer in so many ways.
