Interior lighting on 06 fx35

So i searched this site for about two hours along with minimal searching of other sites about what kind of bulbs inside the interior of an 06 fx35.. Im trying to go LED throughout the car an starting with the interior. I checked the steplights and dome and they look similair vut does anyone know if they are exactly the same? Also i saw that alot of ppl are recommending autolumination for lights or superbrightleds. Anyone suggest a specific light from them that gives a nice bright light off? I was atfirst thinking a nice blue but now im reconsidering that looks a bit tacky. Some oter member did the plate lights but they said the rear cam wa half white on the screen cause how bright they were so i needa keep that in mind when i move to doin the exterior lights.

Second post on this forum and im glad to be apart of it. From all the stuff ive rea im very satisfied! Thanks in advance. Bought the car in december and finally paid it off so ready to play around with it!

I haven't opened up all the housings to check for myself but it seems like all of them are festoons (DE3175). Someone else can probably help you with specific LED but I'd stay away from getting blue LEDs. Also try to get bright LEDs especially for the map lighting.

Thanks alot, i saw that thread last night but for some reason on different threads and sites they were sayin 168's lol.. Thanks alot though. Hmm and in the diy he says that the led festoons have crappy output. Ill have too look into it. Does anyone know what led panels would fit in the step light spots? Or if there is any brights festoon leds?
 
Sup man. The little festoon bulbs for the doors stink also. The light output is minimal. I would recommend getting led doorlight strips. Here is a link to see what im talking about.

Your better off with smd led boards all around for the best output.
 
hmm thank you bklynjohn... i actually wanted to PM you about your lights and what ones you used haha. they look awesome in your avatar pic! however, it might just be me but how come i cant see the full picture only like a third of it in the link you provided me along with some other threads in the forum? is it my comp or does it show up that way in everyones computer?

I also only see a portion of each picture. Could you re-upload the pictures if you still have them in your HDD?
 
So i just went with the plug in feeston 9led bulbs from autolum... They arent a bright just like bklyn said they wouldnt be but for me its enlugh.. Also the pics dont show actual brightness (they r brighter in person) and to start off im happy with them! Heres some pics.. Might need to adjust the front driver side light so it point down more directly cause in the pic the back seems brighter

Looks good DJ, nice to have another chi member around... Keep an eye out for a meet in the next few weeks. Until then, mod on.
