Interior color change + suede

David, so you only got three yards of suede then? Do you have a link to the hancock site to share? Does you car smell like any adhesive or have strong odors from the glue? I'm definitely doing this mod before it gets too cold.

It was normally 20 per yard but I got it about half price I got 6 yards. Way plenty. Got a good bit left over but didnt even unroll it so no idea how much is left. A bit of smell from the paint

It's cool, I checked out Hancock's website. They have several styles, did you get the actual suede for automotive use or general use? Wonder if there's really a difference. How easy was it to remove the A-pillar? Does it just slot into the dash easily and you can pull it out? I'm pretty sure you don't have to touch the dash to remove that piece. What type of bedliner spray did you use? I'm going to use Krylon Fusion satin on the plastic pieces. I've used that on the exterior before with great results, so it should be very durable in the interior pieces.

Thanks david! I think I may try the automotive suede headliner from Hancock. Not sure if you saw both of them at the store or if there is any difference or not. Nice thread and DIY too, thanks for the input!

I didnt use the one for headliners due to it having foam on the back (may not be looking at what I saw) I glued the fabric over the old so I didnt want any thing too thick

Ah, good point, maybe I should just glue the new suede over the existing headliner too. I will check at the local store to see how thick/thin they are. Did you use a spray type adhesive from Hancock too? I plan on going to the store tomorrow and starting it this weekend!

I used 3m 90 spray adhesive. it was recommended highly online. Hancock had it for $21 a can Home depot had it for 10! I went with Home Depot. I heard to not use the 3M 77 it is more readily available but not as good

I google searched "DIY suede headliner" and got lots of great info. didnt save any of the links, should have :(

the factory headliner is super thin I would not try to remove the old fabric not sure it is possible without breaking the headliner

Ok, great! Thanks for the info again! So exciting to get this done finally. I've been really quiet for the last three months in terms of modding. :balanced:

Beige seats? I had black seats and dash with Beige from pillars up.

Im sure they have different colors of the suede that may match with beige seats, black is readily available

i have beige seats and the other beige looking tone pillars.. hmm i dont think it would match with the beige carpets and etc..
