removing the metal panels on the wheel, and the center piece with the watch... please help, if anyone ash the instructions or maybe a manual with step by step pictures i would really appreciate it.

thank you in advance.

The only way to remove the aluminum pieces on the steering is to take the steering wheel off completely. You can try to pry the aluminum cover, but be very careful that there are these little pin for the push button to jump out at you. As for the clock piece you'll have to remove the whole panel with the clock. Just open the ashtray and pull outward from the bottom of the clock piece.

yea i tried plying that off, but it didn't work for me.. and for the center piece with the clock, i took out the bottom panel (with cup holders) and wrapped it, and when i tried to take out the panel with the clock, it gave me troubles as well, i guess i'll just go to the shop and have them remove it for me, and then i'll wrap it and have them re install it... pain in the ass, but has to be done...i might also try to apply the carbon film without removing the wheel panels, but i'm afraid it will look like crap and peel off really fast...

If you already removed the lower center console piece then removing the clock piece is even easier. It is a tight fit, since it's held by 4 clips in each corner, just move your gear shifter to N, and then with both hands give it a firm pull/yank outwards towards the shifter. Unplug the power cable and you're done.

Many of us took it out and I don't recall anyone break it in a process. :)

you have to remove the center piece, because there are 2 large bolts that hold that panel with the clock... i'll try it... but what got me stuck were the 2 clips underneath the navigation unit (removed that as well abut still was unable to remove the panel) i'll give it another try... thanks for the advice... maybe the trick is to pull it by the ashtray, not just try to get it out...

a few member wrap their aluminum pieces on the steering wheel and it turns out pretty nice. Oh you have an 06, the pieces are different then the < 06.

The clock panel is diff. The steering wheel is the same. I would try to wrap the steering wheel pieces as it is.

Here is a diagram, hope that helps:

Oh we talk wheels now?
No the ride just like any 22" even though they're 24". Many have driven it and was surprise it rides. The wheel itself is only 38 lbs.
