Interesting Read (Forged Performance)

no surprise there or even on here. shops are in the biz to make $$. if a project takes more than 3-4 months to complete then it has become a money pit... besides parts and labor, there are other costs of a long build that will need to be considered: lost of use, depreciation, insurance, exterior/interior wear and tear, missing, damaged or misplaced parts/fasteners, and
expired warranty of purchased performance parts

The sad thing almost 90% of the shops out there don't give two f***s about people's cars and are only out there to make money. I've had my fair share of big problems with shops and cars businesses but never bothered to post it up on here cause it still wouldn't solve the issues. Of coarse nothing like what happened to this guy but still bad experiences. It's to the point that making the customer happy means nothing anymore. It's all about making a quick buck.

Wow! I'm speechless! Every one runs a business to make money but there have to be honesty, fairness, know how and a point when one should say 'I'm stuck' instead of making the customer pay for their own incompetence. How can they even try to deliver a car in that shape to a customer thinking that is ok?! Hopefully it all somehow works out for boxsterr1.

Those guys are local. There have been similar stories for years, just not to this level. Always swept under the rug. But in reality, they're not muc different than most shops. Do great work, get a good reputation. Then have some turnover or take on more work than you can handle. I don't think they're cheats, just could use some better customer service. Although the owner Sharif has or did have an LFA, so I don't think he couldn't afford to refund this guy something.
