I saw a G35 today with a Ikey remote and the same ignition switch I have, but the guy had a key inserted. (4 button ikey w/trunk release)
I wonder if he just didnt know you dont need a key or do they make models w/o keyless start w/ the ikey

Oh he wasn't using the hidden key in the i-key? Sounds like the valet key then. Mine is still in the little baggy in the trunk.

Hey people, my first post here, great to find this forum. I own an '06 FX35, and to this day I haven't used the second I-Key. But ON this day, God knows I've tried 
Seems it somehow got unprogrammed. I've just replaced the battery on the other I-key, the one I've been using, and it's fine, it works. However, the one I haven't used for over 2 years, no longer works, although it has a brand new battery as well. However, it HAS worked before, I've tested it when I bought the car. Here's my drama though: I'm in Bucharest, will be here for another 8 months, and there is no Infiniti authorized dealer here. How can I have my second I-key recoded? Is it possible for it to just uncode itself due to a long lack of use? Can I somehow recode it myself, since I have the other working I-key? Like teach the code to the dumb one ? Thanks.

Im pretty you can get it done at a Nissan dealer.....no way to do it yourself.
