Inteli-Cruise is not working

I have a 2006 FX35 and the Inteli-Cruise is not working. When I press the Cruise button, I hear a beep and then a red Cruise Indicator turns on and the cruise function is turned Off. The usual Intelligent Cruise symbol with the speed and car lengths does not turn on at all. If it turn the car off and restart the cruise function will turn on for roughly 10 seconds then I hear the beep and the red indicator turns on again. I thought that the Inteli-Cruise Laser in front of the car maybe dirty, so I washed it with soap and water with no success.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
It won't work with VDC off or in direct sunlight or rain/wipers on maybe. Doubt that's the issue though. Probably should get it checked out.
 
It turns on briefly, then beeps and a Red Cruise light turns on. If I trun off the car it will reset and the same will happen once again.
 
I am having the same problem. If i hold down the cruise control for a few seconds then the green cruise light comes on and i can use regular cruise control but not the intelligent cruise. I wish there was a easy fix, other then taking it to the dealer to have them charge me $125 just to scan the computer and then find out the problem.
