Intake Question - What is this?

What is the white thing that is circled? It's connected to the bottom of the stock intake box.

Is it a resonator to make it more quiet? Does it prevent water ingestion? All of the stated? I ask because I'm thinking of removing it, good or bad idea?

To my understanding it's made for Moisture and Debris that is collected from the Stock Air Intake Box....

Thanks. Any idea if this is harmful if reviewed? I think some did a "vacuum" tube mod?

Yeah I do remember that mod... Just an additional space to bring in extra cold air....

Same here Ed. I removed mine when I had the LMS and even now with the stock airbox installed there are no problems.
