Hey guys so the intake housing foam is falling apart that connects to the cover. Anyone have a easy fix for this?

Rarely hear about seals going bad on the FX (other than cam/valve covers). Got pics?

I think he's talking about the foam on the airbox. That stuff commonly breaks down. No fix that I know of. Maybe foam weatherstripping? Its similar.

Mine is like that too its not a big deal and serves no big purpose. It just rips when you take the plastic intake cover off too much. Glue it back and call it a day.

If you buy a new one it will rip the moment you slide the intake cover back on.

The only downfall to the foam being ripped is it will pull in hot air from the engine bay as opposed to pulling it from the front of the grill. Home Depot has this weather stripping, I'd just replace it all around if need be. When I take the intake apart, when I place it back, just slide it back on one corner at a time. Both sides of the intake aren't that tight together so it should just slide in...

Homedepo have these in Windows , doors area for insulation, come roll and pretty easy to replace
