Hi Guys

Im looking to get a Fujita intake to bling up my engine bay a little. Question is Want to get the Fujita Short Ram Intake #SR-2201. It shows that its for the 2003-06 model. Only worry is the MAF. I have the 08 and I think my MAF is rectangle shape. Anybody here see a problem with this intake? Second question is I'm running a plenum spacer + Invidia Gemini system never done a ECU reflash or any or a kind of tune. Going to do a "PULL" on a dyno this weekend. The place I'm going "the only one in El Paso" says they cant do a reflash. The only thing they can do is a "piggy back" to the ECU. I have no idea what that is. Need help on what to ask/ look for. They said also that to do a reflash they need a "KEY" and they dont have one and the infiniti one costs 5,000$.

Thanks guys:wink (2):

You got yerself a coupla options.

First things first you don't need a reflash. All the bolt on mods will work and show gains on the dyno over a stock setup. MAF should not be an issue - intakes of all brands (made for the FX) are easy to read up about here on the forums.

If you want to get more out of your mods, you can get a reflash done. There are two ways of doing that:

1) ECU tune, like Technosquare - where you remove your ECU and mail it to the tuner. They flash the ECU based on your mods. You'll need to speak with TS so that they can try to "tailor" your reflash to your bolt on mods. This will show gains between 10-30whp over the bolt-on mods, depending on how good the tune is.

2) Dyno tune - best option. Using feedback from your car sensors and a dyno, the timing and A/F maps are adjusted. This usually shows gains around 20-40whp, again based on how good the tune is.

The license your local shop is talking about is essentially the software license the shop has to pay for in order to get and use UpRev - which is how they interface with your ECU through a computer. Your shop is telling you they don't have a license and isn't willing to spring for one because of one customer. Honestly that's fine. If they don't already have and use the software - you don't want them learning on your ECU.
