Why the holy trinity of bolt-ons for the VQ35DE of course!

Intake, plenum spacer and exhaust, followed by an UpRev Osiris tune. Those three items plus the tune are the best bang for the buck power mods there are.

this. lol

headers, hfc's and all else is probably not worth the time/money. and in most cases hfc's dont sound good on the VQ

A lot of people would say the stock cats on the vq35 is one of biggest bottle necks.

My 3 would be plenum spacer, HFC and uprev engine tune. As that's the combo I have, paired with z tube and rev-up air box. The tune got me around 12-15 whp.

Everyone that hears my HFC's with my invidia exhaust loves the way it sounds, me included. BTW there are vendors on eBay that still have the invidia exhaust in stock.

If you haven't gotten a plenum spacer already, get it before the intake. For power, intake is pretty much a waste of money. No independent dynos to verify any real measurable gains. They sound nice and look nice, but that's it. Plenum spacer is dyno proven. HFC's also are proven on the dyno to actually do something. Whether or not you'll like the noise is totally personal preference. Headers don't do anything unless you are going all out with mods and even then, the shorty style that's most common don't really do anything.

I can't do the spaces my truck is still under warranty and I don't want to mess with the warranty so no spaces but intake and exhausted now

Intake and exhaust upgrades will usually void dealer warranties. No one will ever know you have a plenum spacer, it's something you can't really see.

Invidia on back order?
I ordered a cat back 2 weeks ago and just arrived in the Netherlands from the US.
Will have it home at the end of the week.

With HFC i suppose you mean high flow cats? Are these a good upgrade next to the Invidia exhaust?
Doesn't get you in trouble with emission tests?
How bad is the sound difference with HFC's, the last thing i want i a too noisy exhaust, when at WOT i dont care that much but for the normal driving i dont want a resonating noise in the car.

About the plenum spacers, how i understood the 5/16 spacer is for low/mid range and the 1/2 spacer is for higher rpm but what is the best for the FX35.
I think a 5/16 is a better choice as the FX misses a bit of power in the lower rpm's.

Is this something good?

Exhaust won't void your warranty. And yes, Invidia is on back order for 2 weeks. Believe me no one has it in stock right now, even eBay VENDORS.

Someone who works on vq35 on a daily won't notice that spacer.... Ya right. I can spot spacers just as quick as intakes and exhaust.

Some dealerships carry intakes, exhaust and spacers and will install with full warranty. I know my local one does.
