Has anyone converted the OEM 4 flat wire to 5 flat wire trailer connector? I'm looking to convert mine to 5 wire but not sure where to tap in the 5th wire.
My guess:
OEM 4-wire connection are for left signal, right signal, brake, and ground.
5-wire connector are left signal, right signal, brake, tail, and ground.
I would just figure out which one of the 5 wires is the tail and leave it out.
so ive been reading around and the 5th wire(blue) should be hooked up to the reverse lights so when its in reverse, the brakes get released. any chance you know if there is any wires i can tap into in the trunk that leads to the reverse light?
There are 2 uses for blue one use more typical is for 12 v accessory power to the trailer the other is infact the trailer brakes I covered the 4 flat to the 7 round as all my trailers have the 7 for dedicated grounds was fairly simple
