Infiniti Sales Increase 65.8 Percent for May

INFINITI SALES INCREASE 65.8 PERCENT FOR MAY

– Automaker Has Best May Since 2007 –

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (June 1, 2012) – Infiniti today reported U.S. sales of 10,592 units for the month of May, an increase of 65.8 percent versus 6,389 units a year earlier. Infiniti sales have increased 7.2 percent to 43,941 vehicles for the first five months of 2012.

Highlights of Infiniti’s sales results for May, which was the automaker’s best performance in five years, include:
· The Infiniti G Sedan had sales of 3,758, an increase of 40 percent, and the best May since 2008.
· The Infiniti QX full-size luxury SUV had its best May since 2006, with sales of 994 units, an increase of 27.6 percent.
· The all-new Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover contributed incremental sales of 2,678 units for May, and 5,297 for the year.

“With a sales increase of more than 65 percent, May was a fantastic month for Infiniti, our best since 2007,” said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Americas. “Our retailers reported strong traffic in their showrooms, not only for the all-new Infiniti JX, which has successfully fulfilled customers’ desires for a unique, new take on a luxury crossover, but for our Infiniti G and M lines as well.”

Also in May, the Infiniti JX added to its list of accolades with the announcement that The Robb Report placed it on its “Best of the Best” list of sport utility vehicles for 2012. The Infiniti JX features the world’s first Back-Up Collision Intervention system, easy access to the spacious third row, even with a second row-mounted child safety seat, as well as best-in-class interior volume and fuel economy.

EX sales seem to be suffering, I wonder if they will eventually discontinue the EX.

Wow EX sales are poor. No wondering I don't see alot of them around. Maybe 2-3 a month.

Congrats Infiniti! This is explains their increase of TV ads I've been seeing lately lol.

I also know why EX sales are doing bad. It's those damn rear seats. Even with the front seat all the way up you still can't fit in the back. I'm 5'9 and it's too tight. No space at all in it.

we didn't sell one EX last month =X

the number of people coming in still taking orders on the JX are amazing and it's not taking sales away from our QX clients either.

The FX's are starting to pick up again slowly. I think nationally people need to be educated about the FX being a true performance crossover, not just a renamed F-Sport Package like another crossover

^ I agree. I think nobody knows about the FX. I didn't even know it existed until I was the the dealer and they suggested it and I was like what? Infiniti really should be advertising it because they the sales will go through the roof. Never knew why they didn't though.

My dealer is selling JXs like crazy, well in advance before they even get delivered...really interesting.
