Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge

I cannot believe they simply threw in the FX gearbox. It really needs a twin-clutch box...I really wish my FX50 had one. It deserves a proper performance box.
 
If it was a choice between a proper gearbox and the AWD system, I would have chosen the proper gearbox.

And in the end they ended up cramming the shitty infiniti AWD, not the awesome GTR system. So really it's pointless anyway.

Make it RWD, give it the GTR gearbox (or a variation thereof) and annihilate the m5 and e63.

So far with that car and yet so far away. Put in the parts it deserves and make it something jaw dropping.

If you guys want to drive it virtually (Q50 Eau Rouge), you can. It's badass in Forza 5 on Xbox One - got mine's in white, slammed, and rackin' up the miles.
 
The same as the 2nd Gen FXs, and preferred IMO. They are not race cars and will need to make full rotations rather than just partial turns like most road courses. It takes having to find the paddle, which may be on the opposite side, to make a shift.
 
It's personal preference. I wish the paddles on my BMW were fixed. In daily driving, there are times when the wheel is at a funny angle and you can't get to the proper paddle. Sure if you're tracking it, the paddles are fixed relative to hand position, but in daily driving your hand position moves a lot.

Stationary can be nice because you always know where they are. These look to be long enough so that there's always some way to reach them from the steering wheel even if you have to move your hand a little.
 
bet 99% of the people will never use paddles in daily driving. I know I wouldn't. But that's just me, i find any kind of shifting in the auto car annoying

I use my paddles a lot of the time I'm driving my FX50.

Agreed....no where near the same as a true manual gearbox. But again that gets pretty annoying in traffic and daily driving. Racing is a different story.
 
Exactly manual is fun but a major pain in the ass for daily driving especially out here in traffic filled LA.
