We have updated results for the FX to include owner experiences through September 30, 2010.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2005: 57, better than average

2004: 59, better than average

2003: 87, about average

Very small sample sizes in all three cases.

We'll have further updates in February and May. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

We have updated results for the FX to include owner experiences through December 31, 2010. Other sources of car reliability information won't cover the months since last April until the summer or even fall of this year.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2003: 109, about average

I've been a member of truedelta for even my previously owned cars, great site. Any idea on how many of the 06-08 model year members you need before posting? Maybe if a count was provided of what you needed, it might entice more IS members to join like "Hey they just need a few more, let me register..".

Thanks for the suggestion.

The 2006 is in the survey, and we'll have a result for it next month if one more of the owners already signed up responds.

The 2007 is six cars short of getting included in the survey, while the 2008 is 11 short.

The 2009 is very close--only two cars short.

About average and very small sample sizes in all four cases, which probably explains the larger figure for the 2004 (which is nearly "worse than average").

I had my 03 AWD for 4 years. Although it ate through 3 batteries the only problems I had were with the rear door locks (remote lock/unlock) and the very emotional CD player that did not like cold weather.

I have had my 07 for a year now and the only problems have been a dead battery ( I am cursed ) and just had my front driver headlamp replaced after it began taking on water for no reason.

2003: 117, worse than average


Small sample sizes for the 2004 and 2005, very small sample sizes for the others, which likely explains much of the variance from year to year.
