Our reliability stats for the FX now include owner experiences through March 31, 2014, making them nearly a year ahead of other sources.


Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:


2010 FX: 12, low, very small sample size
2006 FX: 23, low, very small sample size
2005 FX: 32, low, very small sample size
2004 FX: 107, moderate, small sample size
2003 FX: 73, low, very small sample size

We've updated our reliability stats for the FX to include owner experiences through June 30, 2014 (making them about 14 months ahead of some others).

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2010 FX: 12, low, very small sample size
2006 FX: 22, low, very small sample size
2005 FX: 47, low, very small sample size
2004 FX: 76, moderate, small sample size
2003 FX: 87, moderate, very small sample size

Next updates in November and in February. The more owners participate, the more comprehensive and precise these will be.

Dash cracked with 4 yr 10 month old. Passenger and drivers side. Did a complain to Infiniti Consumers Affairs. Ignored!!!

Oh wow, now 2nd generation have the same problem?!

Do you keep your car in a shade or garage?
 
A light color and the face, not the top. It seems more likely that these were caused by stress than sun.

2010 FX: 14, low, very small sample size
2006 FX: 65, moderate, very small sample size
2005 FX: 26, low, very small sample size
2004 FX: 43, low, small sample size
2003 FX: 44, low, very small sample size

No stat for a model year? Then we very much need more participants for it. Same for those with small sample size notes. Next updates in late August and November.

this is repair only. But it doesn't include rust forming. My roof has so many rust spots all of a sudden. I get a rock chip from highway driving and rust forms in a day!!! I am gonna have to repaint my roof this summer it seems. This has never happened on any of my other cars. Same with pillars around the windshield. This is pretty bad for a car that's 8 years old!!!
Is this all infinities, because my friends I30 has the same problem, roof around the windshield is rusting like crazy.
 
At one point it seemed like auto makers had figured out how to prevent rust. Now it's becoming almost common again. I don't know why, but would like to.

We do count unrepaired problems once a car as sold, so it's fine to go ahead and report them.
