Pic of the led mirror covers I got from Marek. Cover fitment and LED brightness is perfect in my opinion. The cover plastic is much thicker then the OEM cover. I would recommend to use foam tape like how the oem cover had it. I also use silicone on the back side (inside) of the cover to seal any gaps between the led light and cover to prevent any whistling noises as Marek suggested.

Im selling unpainted mirror covers with wiring kit with yellow color LEDs. You can see them in the first page in my topic. Also la_fx35 (Andrew) just post pictures and videos of my covers painted and installed.
I have couple orders for "clears", it means that yellow LEDs needs to be replaces for white LEDs. So it means they are custom made and for special order

another question is how hard are they to install and if u send installation instructions?

The install really isn't too difficult or extensive. I watched when Andrew installed them and it involves taking the whole door panel off. Separating the covers wasn't too bad, but takes a little extra muscle to get the new ones in. I think the hardest and most time consuming part is getting the wiring through the existing OEM wiring sleeve/boot and routing it into the dash. You don't have to do it that way, but it protects the wiring for the mirrors from rubbing against metal and other parts of the interior due to the vibrations from driving. I think Andrew forgot to mention earlier that he also clear coated the signals with a few coats just to protect against UV light and fading overtime.

Overall, I think this is a must have mod. Really good quality, LEDs seem to be top notch and the look is very OEM. This mod has moved to the top of my list now. Great job Marek & Andrew!

ocal21, I reference this DIY, http://www.infinitifx.org/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=11104, found on theOrg. Note on Step 12, the author route the wire thru the metal sleeve on the mirror arm. I chose to the route the wire inside the existing black plastic sleeve instead. Overall, I personally don't think the installation is hard at all. Very straight forward.

Yea as aerobfa had indicated, I forgot to mention that I also clear coated the led housing with a few coats in hoping to extend/prevent the led housing turning yellow too soon.

Marek, come on... it only takes maybe 2 hours with your experience to install it  Thanks for providing such quality product.

Marcus, how do i go about ordering a set of Gen 2 mirrors from you? Thanks. - Woods

I see that you can not receive PMs, so you can contact me on extremedesignz @ hotmail.com

Im so busy lately that i dont have time for that :(
One person who bought LED rings from me told me that there is a way to change those coves without removing mirrors and doors components. Ill give him a call and ask. Also ill check that on my car

Thank you Andrew for posting pictures and Im glad you like them :smile (2):

Bump !!

Looks like very good fitment. Hope it's the same on the 2nd gen.

Count me in for a set with white LED's.

I have two sets of those covers with super bright white LEDs ready. Like i said its a lot of work involved to modify those. They are glued with some good epoxy.

I was thinking about the price for those custom made covers with white LED, and what you think about $219 ? I know that for time i spent on one set , i should charge around $300 or more but Im not here to rip you off :wink (2):

When you get a set for the 2nd gen ready, you have my number and I'll come down. They look good on the 1st gen.

I have two sets with white LEDs ready. In both 1st gen and 2nd the light part itself is the same

go one...but need to install

So I have a pair of these, but I am handicapped when it comes to installing these things. The shops are quoting me $200 to $400, but they don't seem to know what to do...my vehicle would pretty much be an experiment for them. Is this a reasonable price to get this installed?

Also, one of the installers mentioned that this could void my manufacturer's warranty:eek.:...that seems kinda harsh to me, anybody knows if this is true?

Picked up a 2nd gen version today. Quality looks to be good and bright.. As a personal preference, I chose not to get the white LEDs, but I will say that they are very nice and brighter than the yellows. Those that will order them will be very happy. Marek's a good guy to deal with as well.
