Can anyone recommend a good Infiniti shop in Chicagoland that I can have my catback installed at? Anyone have any experience with Ultimate Z?

Thx.

I might be looking to get wheels powdercoated and a whole brand spankin new paint job... but I cringe at the idea of having a paint job nightmare / horror story to whine and complain about on these forums...

Fields Infiniti in Glencoe. I'm sure they charge more than the typical, but you will get a free loaner and they will get it done right.

What catback did you get? Fields Infiniti is a Stillen authorized dealer and installer. They have a sale I think going on the Stillen Exhausts installed.

Do you have the exhaust already? I think any catback exhaust should be easy for ANY big muffler shop to do. I would go to the closest Midas and just have it installed. Dealers will charge way to much.

I wouldnt trust an Midas to do it - but maybe a reputable muffler place.

Well that depends... if it's an FX35 exhaust then it shouldn't be an issue.

If it's one that needs to be extended, I agree... I would not go to a Midas.

I agree..I'm thinking its one built for an FX. If it needs to be adjusted, you need to ask around for reputable shops.

It's going to be the HKS which is a simple bolt on I believe. But i would still rather have a proper aftermarket shop do it. Or if not a dealer. I wouldn't feel comfortable with a Midas or CarX doing the work.

Midas installed my Y pipe, and full HKS exhaust. No problems. You just have to find the right mechanic.

Is fields good? I heard some bad stories about their customer service... I go to motorwerks in barrington and they have awesome service which im suprised cause online they have poor reviews per google... Mayne i should gibe fields a try since its closer to my work

Was at Fields last week, they seem to be a bit more mod friendly as they sell and install many aftermarket parts. Didn't have any problems with the service, except I told the guy to not wash the car and he did anyway.. Nice food and lounge area too..

I mainly go to Berman's in downtown Chicago, great service, nice rentals, big lounge and never had an issue.. Guys are pretty nice as well..
