Only have 100k miles doing neglected maintenance. Learning tips and tricks from everyone here.

am not a fan of the conti lx25 very noisy at 1/2 life. Going to be changing to something soon. Looking for more luxury and quietness. This platform has so much performance blows my mind.

I changed the plugs last week. Apparently it’s a 60k service. Power is smoother by a lot I was surprised it was NOT done by previous owner. Chased brake issues resolved an out of balance rotor from previous owner. And fixed the mismatched pads. I went with porterfield R4S. I have more brake power than anything I have ever owned.

currently running 20x8” fx37 wheels with a 255/55r20 for winter. I have mixed feelings. Tire is a lot louder than I expected. It’s a hankook new englander 4s. All weather.
Looking for tips when other did tie rod ends, sway bar end links and bushings? Also in search of the quietest tire wheel setups other have. Been looking on here for about a year just finally posted.

Michelins are the quietest in my opinion, pricy but worth it.
Mine are 6 years old and still quiet like new. However, some brands get louder as they wear.
I added some sound deadening material to doors and trunk, that helped plus audio sounds better now.
Im at 116k miles original tie rod end, sway bar end link, but replaced bushings at 90k miles.

Update regarding sway bar bushings.

I bought the Siberian Yellow HARD , installed only on the rear @112K and valvoline restore and Protect.

The car has about 10% more turn in, oversteer vs the worn out old rubber. The ride is very much improved and is much quieter.
I no longer can tell the difference between Sport and Auto in the steering wheel. If you can the bushing are cooked. It is very balanced and the suspension is no longer fighting itself. Things I wish I knew before. Hopefully this will help the few who know about this platform.

I also dislike the Hankook new Englander 4S, they are noisy when new, as they wear they get somewhat quieter. Will update as I continue my journey.
Will be installing the fronts next oil change, possibly sooner.

These rubber bushing are IMO done @60-80K and or 10 years old. Very glad I DID NOT use rubber.

Have you considered switching to 18's? They dont look as nice but it rides much smoother.

I agree, everything rubber is already past its due date.

Polyurethane rear subframe bushing makes a huge difference on the rear end too if you have the means to replace.

I went with the diff brace instead, its my favorite upgrade so far makes a huge difference in the feel of the driveline, all the slop and vagueness/dancing in the rear end is gone and transmission shifts buttery smooth.
