I just ordered the Stillen system right from stillen. I also ordered an Injen intake system. I took Ilya's advice and called an UpRev dealer to get the tuning done and they are actually pretty affordable. They wanted like 500 bucks for the programmer and like 115 dollars an hour for tuning. They said it shouldn't need more than 2 hours on the Dyno. They are located like 30 miles from me. Their company name is GRP. They have never done an M45s before but they said I would be happy with the results. The stock vehicle with just the UpRev kit alone should add 30 to 40 hp plus better fuel efficiency, when I actually drive it nicely. I dont plan on driving it nicely though! The exhaust will add 12-15 hp according to Stillen's R&D annalysts. Injen intake may add 5 to 10 hp. I dont have any actual numbers on the intake because Injen did not ever Dyno test their intake on this car. But you gotta think its gonna be between 5 and 10 hp. So the estimated total should potentially be 335 hp car plus 15 exhaust plus say 10 on the intake plus 30 or 40 with the UpRev kit. All tuned and road ready, should be between 390 - 400 hp total at the crank. Not bad.
Car came with snow tires on it so I also ordered some Yokahama rubber from Tire Rack. Tires got here in 1 day! Other parts will be here between Friday and Monday. Cant wait! Dyno sheets to come yall!
Hey does any one know how to disable the video shut off crap? I want to watch a movie while I drive. Dang thing shuts the dash monitor off as soon as the car starts rolling. You can still here it but you cant see it. Any advice. Dealership said it as simple as cutting a wire or two. Any feed back would be appreciated.
Oh one more question.....doing a burn out is easier said than done. The car doesnt like brake torques before launch. It cuts the ignition and kinda falls on its face. It does this even with the VDC turned off. Any advice?
I appreciate you guys helping me out. Its good having friends with the same passion for the M as me. All my car buddies cannot afford a car like this. Too bad for them. They dont know what they're missing.
