Ignition Coilpack

I have replaced Ignition coilpack #1 for the 3rd time..... The first time I had this problem the dealer charged me $500 for a computer diagnostic and replaced spark plug #1 and ignition coil pack. About 18K miles later, it happened again....dealer replaced igntion coil pack #1 and charged me $176 for it. And it happened again about 2k miles later.... I have the last 2 coil packs and there is a burnt spot on the side of the coil pack connector.

Has anyone come across this problem????

The dealer in Alexandria (Passport Infiniti) came across a customer that came from another state with the same problem. I spoke with the service advsior and he stated that they changed all the coilpack, plugs and it was still coming in with the same problem. They also changed the cats and exhaust. The customer left with a smile because his FX35 was back to normal. Then the service center found out that the FX35 went up in flames sometime later....
They wanted hold my FX for a week, but I didn't have the time because of upcoming deployment (Military). Now it happened again, and I called the Infiniti Consumer Affairs line and spoke with an agent. I have to take my FX to the dealer and once everything is fixed, I have to call the Consumer Affairs line to see what is my actual cost is going to be, because the other 2 dealers didn't find a problem with my FX. Hopefully something good comes out of this....I hate to pay an arm and a leg for the diagnotic that they are going to perform on it.....

Damn John I didn't know this problem happenned so many times..!! Just keep me posted on the outcome of it and how the dealer deals with this problem.. Good luck. Hope you get it fixed before you go oversea.
 
I will keep you posted, Rubare. I flyout tomorrow and my parents/brother will look into this for me. As far as the FX is concerned, it is going to be dropped off tonight at the dealership for further diagnostics.......:err:
 
k.. i doubt your family would need any help with it but feel free to give them my info in case they need any help bro.. Good luck !! rest ill be a loooong as fly! keep in touch!!
