Identify my knocking sound? :)

Alright... I love my FX45 (the local kids with the 350Zs and G35s don't... but that's ok I guess :at-wits-end:). This morning I got a funky noise out of the car and I figured I would post up and see if anyone can relate.
Car is a 2003 FX45 with just under 70k miles. I change the oil myself every 3000-3500 miles. I use full synthetic and a quart of synthetic oil stabilizer each time. Current oil levels are good (just changed about a month ago). No engine mods aside from a KN drop in.
Upon startup, there was a rapid , very audible knock from the engine area, and a rough idle.. not crazy rough... but not a normal idle. I turned the engine off right away, then back on about 30sec later...starts up just fine, no knock, smooth idle.
It has done this to me maybe two other times... over the y 18months Ive owned the car. Hasn't done it in several months.

Any Thoughts?

Thanks for the info guys. I did try the search and got some great info.more worst case scenarios...
No CEL popped up... I am thinking of replacing the plugs here soon..will inspect and see how they look.
 
That seems common among the FX45's. It has to due with the top end being starved of oil, especially if it has not been driven for awhile. Mine has made that noise on several occasions, and eventually let it run and drive it and the knocking goes away. Wish we could figure out another reason for the oil consumption issues with the FX45's but maybe that is another reason?
 
Had you just washed the car? Or moved it a short distance and then turned it off? If so, this is normal. Sounds like the engine is going to come apart - but it doesn't.
