Hey I just got my Dad's FX 45 and I really like the car but I need some ideas like engine mods just thought I could get some ideas.

Hey welcome to the Scene. There are not any bolt on engine mods for the 45. Only custom FI options. Look at my sig for and in the 45 section of the forum to get ideas on what mods are available. Best bang for the 45 would probably be the technosquare ecu reflash.

Welcome to iS! You pretty much can only do exhaust and intake when it comes to the 45 for simple mods.

The new Invidia Gemini and the JWT pop charger are a nice exhaust/intake combination (it's what I have, really happy with both) as the good doctor said those combined with the Technosquare reflash you will have some nice gains. You might also go with the +2 timing advance (check the threads for a description) I also recently did the electric fan conversion and I'll be doing the Transgo shift kit as well. What year is your ride?

+1 on JWT intake, Invidia exhaust, Technosquare reflash and +2 timing advance. However, best bang for buck is the Technosquare reflash, hands down. Welcome to IS!

Look up "Invidia Gemini" and you'll see a few threads regarding their exhaust system as well as Gordon1978's special pricing for IS members.

I posted Dyno results in the middle of this Invidia thread ///7113&page=6 (should have started another specific thread) gains with the new Gemini were good, just a hair under 7WHP and 8.6 Lbs of torque. The 06' 45 had issues with the fitment due to slightly longer cats but earlier years have no fitment problems form what I understand. If you can still get the member discount Gordon was offering awhile ago its a GREAT system as a true dual in quality SS. Nice sound at start up and under load (not too loud).

+1
The last pics I saw of the Gemini exhaust looked great!

So I think Im going to get a black billet grille and then lower it and powder coat the stock 20s black with a glossy finish.
