Hey Guys,
Been a while since I last posted hope everyones doing great!

The car is a 2004 fx45
So this is my story regarding my radio for that last 2 years the cd player started skipping and then finally wouldn't play. Just over a year ago I invested in Ipod adaptor which works great. Now about 2 months ago the radio took a few minutes to play sound as time went a long issue progressed to the point where we don't get any sound out of speakers. Everything works Nav, heat control, radio preset's I just don't get any volume.
just curious if anyone has experienced this is issue and how did you go about getting it fixed Repair, replace?

what do you guys think it is ? head unit or amp?

last question If decide to replace headunit am I limited to 04 model or can I use a newer headunit 06-07 maybe?

Thanks in advance for any help!

This guy does an awesome job fixing our head units.

I don't think anyone has updated to a newer HU. It's really not worth the hassle. I have seen alpine and Pioneer changes. The stock HU will always have this problem. I'm on my 3rd HU, and this one is on the way out. I think there are a few people on their 4-5th.

Just thought I would update my post.

I just replaced the amp and solved my issue. I also ordered new HU to resolve my CD skipping issue.

Thx.

My wife's 05 FX35 has only the rear speakers working and they don't sound great. Originally , the radios reception was bad and we though maybe the antenna. But, now the front speakers don't work at all. From what I hear it sounds like the speaker amp in back should be the problem. She does have a Bose Sub too and I hear they have an amp in them as well.(??)
What the cheapest route to get the sound back ? Do older Nissans use the same amp ? Thanks
