instead of waiting for other meets, we should start our own. what do you guys/gal think? lets figure out a day/location for starters. we have good numbers esp new members inquiring about meets. i know this is not easy, but lets give it a try again.

p.s. nothing against the other meets. we can also invite them to ours.

Mike, start something up and see what happens. Its just so hard to get a time and a place that fits everyone's schedule and location.
 
SC plays at 1230...so I could be there as long as we're watching the game!

even though by half time this game should be way over....

Just a suggestion, we can do a meet and greet and go do something afterwards.... how about indoor karting? so we can brag about who is the fastest...
(for those who has never done indoor karting, its faster then you think. and since its indoor and electric, they are electric (very torquey)

Im willing to help with planning , promoting, organizing.

no date set yet, but the last time we have a good showing was a last minute meet. It was a good time.

Based on the Member Map, here are some numbers

San Fernando/West Valley = 6 Members
Passadena/Walnut = 7 Member
West Side/Long Beach = 3 Members
OC = 1

It looks like Burbank would be closest to majority of people with almost equal distance.

Few other things to consider as well.

1. Do we want to treat this as strictly Car Scene?
2. Do we want to socialize/Entertainment
3. Competition of some sort?
4. Private or Public? Some remote parking lot or major activity area?
5. Food/Drinks or just hi and bye?
6. Day time or Evening?

How about Castle Park Parking lot in Sheman Oaks. Mid Afternoon, Saturday.

lets start with just a meet+food+drinks similar to the last ones. then we can work on activities next time.

saturday mid-afternoon sounds good. im ok with wed evening too if we shoot for weekdays. the past meets were at hooters covina (easy access via freeway, large lot). we can also pick a place kinda central to the majority.
 
Team FX meet

I really like the idea of FX only meet. Every time we go to one of these meets we get to hang out with the fx guys anyways. The G guys never come over and we each go the the other side of the fence, say hi, and then go back to our own kind.

I think the time has come to have our own meets, have them come out and join us. However, I think we should have it at a time and a location that would be easier for all members to attend rather than get caught at work, with the kids, or locked at a car wash :rofl:.

Personally, I'd love to meet Dr.2K, Trainerken, and PSCLNE at the next meet. Personally I've learned a lot from these guys and want to meet them in person, hopefully more often than few months out of the year.

Come on guys, one Sat. or Sun. out of the month mid afternoon, 20 min. drive to everyone should work out for all. Commit to it and everything else will work out.

Well, you know we have our once month PB meet and it was already planned for this weekend. Of course everyone is invited =)

I meant the Cal Speedway Drag meet in Nov or Dec. Not the T4T meet. I don't think I will attend that one this year.

A meet is fine with me and best probably on the weekends. Weekdays are pretty bad for me. We can do a lunch meet on a Sat or Sun.
