I Think I Might Have A Problem

im not sure if anyone here is experiencing this, but i seem to have some issue with the shifting on my transmission. its a very intermittent problem; since ive purchased my used FX a month ago, its only happened like 3 times. here is the scenario...

upon coming to a slow stop or a rolling stop, the transmission seems feel like its in neutral for a second or two- but the gear is in drive. upon accelerating, it catches and kinda makes the car peal out and shakes the whole car- its on automatic and NOT the tiptronic drive....

please let me know if this is a common problem that any of you have faced, found, and or repaired. would this be part of any recalls? the vehicle history shows all recalls have been completed.

any input would be great. thank you all for all your help!

It sounds to me that there is some slipage with your Tranny..

How many miles do you have on your FX? Plus when you got it, did you check that it had all it's required maintenance?

The tranny is the most important thing you can take care of your FX. It just might need an oil change but, I would check the vehicles history with infiniti.

If you did not get your FX from an Infiniti Dealership you might need to get some sort of service contract with them and get it checked out immediately.

There has been no recall on the Tranny that I am aware of.

My baby was built in '03 and I had a bit of the same problem you had, no shaking though, but I had LMS do an Oil change and I have not problem with it now.

I would try an hard ecu reset before concluding anything. . also, does this happen with VDC off?
