Well tonight a pretty bad snow storm hit the city and i was on my way to my friend house, i made a left down his street and my fx just spun side ways right into the curb, both rear and front passenger tires hit the curb at the same time pretty damn hard, i have no snows but now i wish i got them last week, i was driving straight and now my steering is off when i drive str8 the steerring wheel is turning left , im going to get it look at after tommorow and im nervous, what do you think i managed to screw up??

you jsut misaligned the wheels. they should be okay. my uncle had an m45 and di the same thing...going 40 ish broke his rear wheel and bent his front...replaced wheels..realigned...drives like new!

just bring her in and theyll fix it up :)

ye i hope so, kinda tripped me out on the way home seeing my steering wheel left and the truck is driving straight, the rims werent even scratched that much , and i dont think there bent

Yeah, when I was 16 I did the same thing but a bit harder to my moms car and folded the rear wheel under it. Your lucky that didn't happen.
I hope it's ok!

well im dropping it off after lunch, he said most likely i bent a rim because when i drive the steering wheel is to the left, and the car moves side ways up & down, hopefully its nothing to expensive to fix ,didn't really need this money to go here :frown:

i did something similar to this a few months ago but just my front right wheel ran over a curb. my steering wheel does the same thing. i didnt notice it right after, but i guess this is what caused it. actually, nevermind, i think my steering wheel was like that before i hit the curb, i guess from spring install. anyways, my point is, i have a similar occurence, and its been fine for me. i will get it aligned eventually though. yours sounds worse than mine though.

something had to bend, a wheel can't just go "out of alignment". sometimes if somethings bent slightly then an alignment can compensate & solve the problem, but don't change the fact that somethings bent... good luck with the repair, hope it's not too bad...

ya most diffantly, i'll give you guys an update later on this afternoon, when i drive it feels like the fx wants to go side ways:err:

I sure hope it's nothing as well. I had the same thing happen to me with the FX. Part of my wheel broke and flew away and the front driver side bent out of shape. Dealer had to change everything in the wheel well. It cost about $4000. Thank god for insurance.

Well it looks like i bent my rear lower control arm cost to fix is $170 labour and apparently the part is $450, i went on infinitipartsusa.com and it shows $153.81? why is he charging me so much ?

damn, tell him you will provide him with the part.

Because they are thieves! Tell them about the price from Joe and have them match that or you can get it yourself to them.

+1 on that.

do you really have summer tires on?

yes , and lucky i didnt get into a messier situation, like i said i was going to get winters installed last week, but the price put a hault to the descion of making the purchase, man do i regret it now lol, is there aftermarket ''lower control arms'' for the fx??

ye, well when i bought her back in 07 they slapped some federal tires some summers, and i was planning on running 22's for summer and the 20's for winter, but plans fell through and i didnt buy 22's this year, however im going to make a purchase on 22's in spring and then start using the 20's strictly for winter
