I need help with my key!

I took the chip from the valet key for the purpose of not ruining the regular key. The chip in the valet key serve the same purpose as the the other two regular keys to turn off the security system and immobilizing system so you can start the car. You do need to remove the blank key from the flip casing for the locksmith to dup the key. My local hardware store charge $5 to dup the key. Make sure you dup the regular key and not the valet one now. :smile (2):

I ordered the style where you put the guts from your old remote inside. It was ok It was big and clunky and a little awkward to turn in the ignition. I ended up getting another style where it has its own circuit board inside making it much smaller and it also feels better made. I would recommend you spend the extra money and get this style . The buttons itself are made from the rough plastic. Compare to OEM you need to push really hard, kind of annoying. I'll try to tweak the casing inside.

PS How you doing down there after the flood BTW?

Where did you get this style? Can't find it on eBay.

Ah I see what you are saying, it is harder than OEM for sure.

Things are interesting. Just being allowed home today, but most of our building and basic services are still down. And all my tools and FX parts ended up covered in sewage for 10 days. Fun stuff to be sure.
