I need help with Gtspec bracing

I know this is a topic that has been posted many times and I have looked at them all but I am still confused. I'm looking at bracing the fx, I know I am getting mid chassis flex. The reason I know this is I installed vent-shades on the windows and after hard cornering sometimes when I stop and open the doors the vent-shades are catching each other where the front and rear doors meet. They are not overlapping and I do not feel I installed them too close to each other. Right now with new wheels, tires, spacers, Christmas and a spoiled wife and a 15 y/o daughter money is a little tight. I was wondering if any of you had any thoughts on what braces to buy, the mid chassis brace is pricey and I am not so sure if some of the others braces whether front or rear or a combination of the two will eliminate the flex. Also when searching Gtspec products it is a little confusing what braces do what as they seem to use generic pics for all products. I am definitely going with the stb and from what Ive seen the rear lateral is a good choice as well. Also is there any place to buy the complete package and install them all at once? I know they will improve handling which i want but I am concerned if I install the wrong braces I will get that army tank feel, like riding a rigid frame Harley if you know what I mean?. Any recommendations on the cheapest place to buy with part numbers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Oh yeah, Im running stock suspension with stock wheels right now. As soon as my spacers get here Tuesday, I will be running 20x10's with a 45 degree offset with 10mm spacers and 285/50/20's all the way around.

Definitely get the front stb and rear lateral for a start. Not just to see if if fixes the vent-shade issue, but as a way to improve the overall handing and driving characteristics of your vehicle. Are you lowered on springs? Then you will be able to get the mid chassis. Those running coils will not be able to get it as the car is too low. I have the front stb, rear lateral and I'm on coils running 22"s and the ride is rigid as riding a Harley. I know because I rode a cruiser for many years and I'm used to a harsh ride. Hope this little bit helps for now, I know more will chime in soon.

Not lowered, stock springs and suspension. Also, do you know the part numbers for the rear. There are two listed and have the same picture with the same description. I don't know which one to get. Thanks.

Also, do you think your stiffness is due to your springs and or coil overs? Or the bracing?

I think its the combination of everything. The bracing definitely makes the ride firmer. The coils ride a little softer than springs, according to everyone that has them. I just got a '07 FX45 and have not swapped my coils and bracers over from my old '04 yet. So I am able to compared both rides since everything is so recent. The ride is almost as harsh stock compared to coils, bracing and 22"s. I think the OEM is a little "softer" now because of the taller sidewall of the 20" tires. Funny thing is, I've gotten so used to my old car, I feel like I'm going to have a rollover accident in the new car, lol.

I have the entire Gtspec braces less the STB..

By far the issues that you are having will dessapear and with it your handling will improve by 30%.

Now the next question is where in the he'll can I get them? I guess the stb and the rear lateral brace have been on back order for months, any recommendations on a stb? I found the mid chassis brace cheap, but still need the rear lateral and the stb. What are my options you guys would recommend for the stb? I know stillen makes one, but I'm not sold on it due to the fact that it has holes in it! I'm sure stillen thought it looked cool but it also makes it weaker, I know NRG makes one but they are REALLY proud of it, they might as well have made it out of gold or platinum! As far as the rear lateral I think gtspec is the only ones who make it. Any help would be appreciated!

If you also lower your FX, you will improve handling by a lot too. My FX is a completely different beast with the bars and coils. Go GTSpec all the way man. Even if it is on backorder, its still worth the wait. I think GTSpec bar looks great in our engine bay and it looks like its all business. Try http://www.b2autodesigns.com/ I bought all of my bars from there.

Yeah, that's what I hear. Now who in the hell has them? I cant find them anywhere, evidently GTSpec has them on back order and have for quite along time! I have checked multiple venders and nobody has them and cant offer an accurate eta as to when GTSpec will ship!

GTS braces are such a great product for the FX. You may have to establish a GB to make this happen - Sales were slow enough on these that GTS sold through their existing stock and what is left is bits and pieces online or FX owners who move on and sell off their braces. Try member B2autodesigns they had the last GB/stock and might have some units left......good luck!

I already PM'ed Charles and he doesn't have any either, but he said he would check Monday or Tuesday and see if he could help me out. For any of you guys that are getting rid of your rides and want to sell your used ones let me know. HA HA!
